Nitish government has won the trust vote in Bihar Assembly. While 129 votes were in favor of the government, not a single vote was received in opposition. No-confidence motion was also passed against Awadh Bihar Chaudhary in the Assembly. After which now the post of Assembly Speaker is vacant. After which, now the name of senior BJP MLA and former minister Nand Kishore Yadav has emerged as the new Speaker of Bihar Assembly. The top leadership of BJP has approved his name.
Nand Kishore Yadav will file nomination papers for the post of President on Tuesday. Voting for the post of President will be held on 19 February. According to the provision, elections will be held only one day after the nomination. After the presentation of the budget on Tuesday and nomination for the post of Speaker, the proceedings of the House will be adjourned for five days. Elections will be held during the proceedings of the House on 19 February. In case of only one nomination, Nandkishore Yadav will be elected speaker unopposed. Nand Kishore Yadav is a senior BJP leader and MLA from Patna City Assembly seat. He has also been a minister of many departments.
