He says that when he started the project of Shotgun 650, many classic ideas were arising in his mind. He said that when we started this project, we were looking at how people could edit the classics. In India, 50 percent of our sales on 350 model bikes come from cast aluminum wheel editions. Even though the original bike never had cast aluminum rims. We started around this idea. How the journey with Royal Enfield started
He said that at one time Royal Enfield used to make 500 Twin. It looked exactly like the old Bullet. One day he found her in a barn. Then he started working on re-designing it. For this he removed some components from the forks and brake disc of this bike. After this, a new component was added to it and it was restarted.
Where did the inspiration for the design of Shotgun 650 come from?
Regarding the design of Shotgun 650, he said that after designing the Royal Enfield 500 Twin, I started thinking about it. He said that if you have seen the film Akira, you must have seen a Canadian bike in it. That is not a bike, but the Joker’s bike. He said that if you look at the bikes of Joker gang, they actually look like choppers or bobbers, which have a strange front part. Moreover, all the cars in the movie Gattaca are also very classic.
