Who attacked ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’? Rahul Gandhi will enter Assam again today

Congress’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ left from Rajgarh (Assam) for Hollongi (Arunachal Pradesh) on Sunday. The Yatra is currently in Arunachal Pradesh and will enter Assam again on Sunday. This journey will cover a distance of 6,713 kilometers in 67 days and pass through 110 districts of 15 states and will end in Mumbai on March 20 or 21. Meanwhile, Congress has accused the Yatra of attack in Assam. The party alleged that its workers were attacked, their vehicles vandalized and banners torn in Assam’s North Lakhimpur town during the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. The main opposition party released some videos related to the incident and also claimed that the attack was carried out with the cooperation of the BJP government and this shows the nervousness of Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma and the BJP. However, Assam Director General of Police (DGP) Gyanendra Pratap Singh said that no vehicle was targeted and the yatra entered Arunachal Pradesh peacefully.

Congress Assam unit chief Bhupen Kumar Bora said all the hoardings and posters put up in the city to welcome the yatra were torn down on Friday night and party members who came to put up the banners were beaten up. He alleged that two vehicles used by the party to carry the display were also damaged by the miscreants. He also threatened Congress workers of dire consequences if they did not leave from there immediately. Bora said, we have given two complaints to the police – one related to our workers being beaten and vehicles being damaged, and the other complaint related to posters being torn.

The miscreants reached the spot by car

He claimed that the car by which the miscreants reached the spot belonged to a person who is considered close to the local BJP MLA. Meanwhile, party president Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are not afraid of such attacks. Kharge posted on In the last 10 years, BJP has tried to crush and destroy every right and justice given to the people of India by the Constitution. She (BJP) wants to suppress their (Congress) voice by violating democracy.

Congress is not afraid of this threat strategy

He said, the Congress party is not afraid of this strategy of attack and intimidation adopted by the BJP government in Assam. Congress party will take appropriate legal action against these stooges of BJP. Our fight and Rahul Gandhi’s commitment to justice is unwavering. Assam DGP rejected the allegations by posting on social media platform ‘X’. Responding to Kharge’s post, he said, “Sir, no vehicle of any political party has been targeted and neither has the Yatra. Assam Police has made elaborate security and law and order arrangements for the yatra across the state. The Yatra has peacefully entered Arunachal Pradesh after the first leg in Assam. Union Home Minister Amit Shah claimed that in Assam, those people whose relatives had lost their lives during the Congress tenure are opposing the “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra”.

‘Most corrupt Chief Minister’ Himanta Vishwa Sharma: Congress

Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal shared the video footage related to the incident and posted on Look at their goons tearing Congress posters and breaking vehicles! He is so frightened by the heavy impact of the journey that he can stoop to any level. Congress Treasurer Ajay Maken, while talking to the media in New Delhi, said that BJP and its leaders are nervous about the support the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra is getting. The way the attack was carried out in Lakhimpur, Assam, shows that the BJP is nervous about the support it is getting for this yatra. He claimed that Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma had resorted to such action out of nervousness and to prove his loyalty to the BJP.
