Ratan Tata, the former chairman of the Tata Group and a successful businessman, is also a trained pilot. He flew the F-16 fighter plane in the Bengaluru Air Show in 2007. He was the first Indian citizen to do so. Ratan Tata had dreamed of flying a plane since childhood. He obtained a private pilot’s license in 1986. He often travels by his private plane.

At the Bengaluru Air Show, Ratan Tata flew the F-16 Block 50 fighter aircraft. This aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 2000 kilometers per hour and can fly at a height of up to 50,000 feet.
