WhatsApp Account Ban: Popular instant messenger WhatsApp has banned more than 71 lakh accounts in India in a month. The company took this action last year in November 2023 under the IT Rules 2021. Under this rule, all big social media companies have to issue user safety report every month. Along with this, complaints and action taken on them also have to be mentioned.
WhatsApp has banned 71 lakh 96,000 accounts in India between November 1 and November 30 last year. According to the data released by Meta-owned WhatsApp, out of these, 19 lakh 54,000 accounts have been banned by the company under its own monitoring and no complaint was received for them.
How many complaints did WhatsApp receive in the month of November?
In the month of November, WhatsApp received 8,841 complaints, out of which the company took action against 6. Every month the company releases user safety report. If you are a WhatsApp user and do not operate your account as per its terms and conditions, your account may also be banned. If you are involved in scam, fraud, theft, nudity, anti-national activities of any kind, then the company can ban your account at any time.
