What will happen in Bihar Assembly today before the floor test of Nitish government, know the details

Patna. In Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will present a trust vote in the Assembly on Monday. Just 15 days after the formation of the NDA government, the government is going to present its trust vote in the House. MLAs will vote in support and against the trust vote. For this, all the parties have issued whips to their MLAs. Both the ruling party and the opposition have held meetings with their respective MLAs. During this, the leaders of the ruling party claimed to prove majority while the opposition said that they had played. However, after a few hours from now the whole truth will be revealed to the public.

House proceedings will start at 11 am

According to the information received from the Assembly Secretariat, the Legislative Budget session is also starting from Monday. The proceedings of the Assembly and Legislative Council will begin at 11 am on the first day of the session. Then the Speaker and the Chairman will give their opening addresses. After this, members of both the houses will go to the Central Hall, where Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will address the joint assembly. After the Governor’s address is over, the members of both the houses will then go to their respective houses and the proceedings will begin there.

Disbelief will come before trust.

After this, a no-confidence motion will be presented in the Assembly to remove Speaker Awadh Bihari Chaudhary. The Speaker will see how many members are in support of the proposal. If 38 members or more stand up and support this proposal, it will be considered accepted. As soon as the motion is accepted, the Speaker will leave the seat. Now Vice President Maheshwar Hazari will sit on the chair in his place and the proceedings will move ahead. Members will vote in favor and against the no-confidence motion against the Speaker. If there is a majority against the Speaker, then further action will begin for a new Speaker.

Nitish Kumar will present the motion of trust vote

The Deputy Speaker will run the House until the new Speaker is elected. However, if the Speaker himself resigns from his post, then the issue of voting will not arise. After this the Chief Minister will propose to seek trust vote. Which is expected to be passed by voice vote instead of voting. After this the state government will present the economic survey report in the House. After this, if there are any necessary works, they will be executed. Then after the condolence motion, the proceedings of the House will be adjourned till the next day.

Absolute majority for government on party basis

The total number of MLAs in Bihar Assembly is 243. To prove majority in the House, support of 122 MLAs is necessary. NDA claims that it has the strength of 128 MLAs. Which includes 78 from BJP, 45 from JD-U, 4 from HAM and one independent Sumit Kumar Singh, while 5 MLAs did not come to the JD-U legislature party meeting yesterday. At the same time, 2 MLAs did not attend the BJP meeting. If 7 out of 128 NDA MLAs do not stay with NDA, then the numerical strength reaches only 121, which can put Nitish government in trouble.
