What plan has the DGP of five states including Jharkhand prepared to take action against Naxalites and cyber criminals?

Ranchi: The meeting of the Eastern Regional Police Coordination Committee was held on Friday through video conferencing at the police headquarters under the chairmanship of DGP Ajay Kumar Singh. DGPs from Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Bihar and other officials participated in it. During the meeting, a plan was prepared for action against Naxalites, cyber criminals, criminals associated with inter-state gangs, human smugglers, drug smugglers and smugglers involved in illicit liquor trade. The DGP said that during the meeting the Naxal scenario on the border of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh was reviewed. During the review it was found that there has been a significant reduction in Naxal activities there. Many operation camps have been set up. Apart from this, a plan was prepared to take action against cyber criminals and to take action against those selling SIM cards fraudulently. ADG Police Headquarters Murarilal Meena said that the limits of the state police are limited to the state, but criminals have no limits. They also go to other states after the incident. IG Operations AV Homkar said that due to the elimination of Naxalites on Budha Pahad, the activities of Naxalites have reduced in Chhattisgarh. The action against Naxalites in Chatra has also reduced the activities of Naxalites on the border of Jharkhand and Bihar. During the meeting, ADG Priya Dubey, IG CRPF Vidhi Kumar Virdi, IG Special Branch Prabhat Kumar, IG CID Aseem Vikrant Minj, DIG STF Inderjit Mahatha and other police officers were present from Jharkhand Police.

Naxal activity reduced in Chhattisgarh due to the elimination of Naxalites on Budha Pahad.

IG Operations AV Homkar said that due to the elimination of Naxalites on Budha Pahad, the activities of Naxalites have reduced in Chhattisgarh. The action against Naxalites in Chatra has also reduced the activities of Naxalites on the border of Jharkhand and Bihar. Action against the remaining Naxalites has been discussed in the meeting with Bihar Police. Arrangements are being made for timely exchange of information for action.
