Uncle regarding name and party election symbol in Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sharad Pawar The rift between him and nephew Ajit Pawar still continues. Both the groups have made their respective claims on it. The matter is in court. Both the groups are going to present their respective views on 6 October. Ajit Pawar has claimed that after joining Shinde government, on June 30, he had removed Sharad Pawar from the post of President. However, amid the political fight, the two groups continue to meet each other. Due to which the possibility of a new earthquake in the politics of Maharashtra has also increased. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar’s statement regarding this matter has come out. He has made it clear that he will accept the ‘final’ decision of the Election Commission regarding the name and election symbol.
In July, Ajit Pawar had rebelled against uncle Sharad Pawar.
It is noteworthy that Ajit Pawar had joined the Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of Maharashtra along with eight MLAs in July. He had claimed the support of most of the MLAs of the NCP founded by his uncle Sharad Pawar and had also staked claim on the party’s name and symbol in the Election Commission. Sharad Pawar faction had challenged this move of Ajit Pawar faction in the Election Commission and the decision on this is pending.
Ajit Pawar said, Sharad Pawar can use his rights
Sharad Pawar On the question of the group taking action against the MLAs who joined their group, Ajit Pawar said that they can use their rights. He said, however, only the Election Commission (EC) takes the final decision. Both the parties have gone to the Election Commission and will present their views on the scheduled dates. As far as I am concerned, I will accept the Commission’s decision.
Sharad Pawar is busy uniting the party
While Ajit Pawar is not shying away from staking his claim on the party, on the other hand Sharad Pawar is busy uniting the party. Recently there was also a meeting between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar. Although Sharad Pawar had described that meeting as personal. On the other hand, Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar faction leader Praful Patel were seen together in photographs in the new Parliament House.
Never said anything against Ajit Dada: Supriya Sule
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) working president Supriya Sule is also seen to have a soft attitude towards Ajit Pawar these days. Recently he said that he has never said anything against his politically estranged cousin Ajit Pawar. When asked about his recent speech in Parliament referring to his brother, Sule said, Ajit Dada is my elder brother and I have never said anything against him. Whatever I said in Parliament is not against any individual, but against the statements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Ajit Pawar rejected the news of change of Chief Minister
On the speculations about Maharashtra Assembly Speaker disqualifying 16 MLAs (Shiv Sena) and changing the Chief Minister, he said that all these reports have no meaning. He said, such news has been going on since the day Eknath Shinde became the Chief Minister (June 2022). All these news are meaningless.
