What did LG say about Arvind Kejriwal?

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested by the investigating agency ED in the Delhi Excise Policy case. After this arrest, Kejriwal has been giving instructions to his ministers from custody. Meanwhile, the question is arising whether he can be removed from his post? Or could he resign? Amidst all these questions, Delhi LG VK Saxena has said that he wants to assure the people of Delhi that the government will not run from jail.

Here, Delhi Government Minister Gopal Rai has reacted on the matter. He said that there is no provision for the elected Chief Minister in the country to resign merely on the basis of allegations. When the CM was outside, he was working from outside, now he is inside so he is not backing down from working from inside. Arvind Kejriwal is continuously engaged in serving the public. He further said that now new possibilities are emerging in the new circumstances.

What has the LG of Delhi said?

Delhi LG V.K. Saxena has said that the government will not be run from jail. Let us tell you that the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have said that Arvind Kejriwal will not resign from the post of Chief Minister even after being in jail. After this comment of the party, LG’s statement came out. It is noteworthy that AAP’s national convenor Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21 in a money laundering case related to excise policy. He is in the agency’s custody till March 28 i.e. Thursday.

Kejriwal has given two instructions so far

  • Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had given the first instructions to Water Minister Atishi and asked him to solve the water and sewer related problems in some areas of the city.
  • CM Arvind Kejriwal had given the second order to Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and directed to ensure that the medicines and testing system for people in all government hospitals and mohalla clinics is not disrupted.
