Three villagers have been killed in the last three days in Tonto and Goilkera areas. After these incidents, about 40 villagers have left the village in panic. There is silence in the villages adjacent to the dense forests of Tonto and Goilkera in Kolhan forest area. The villagers are getting crushed in the ongoing fight between the police and the Naxalites. Due to frequent encounters, IED explosions, spike holes in the area, security forces personnel and villagers have suffered heavy losses. Although according to the police, the Naxalites have also suffered heavy losses. They are shocked by this.

Many Maoists were injured in the encounter

According to the police, many Naxalites were injured during the encounter, while one was also killed. Police have not been able to recover the dead body. A large quantity of goods including their bunkers, grenades were seized.

A year ago, 52 villagers were ordered to die

The Naxalites had earlier ordered the death of 52 villagers. The police came to know about this about a year ago. After demolishing the camp of Naxalites, many items including diary were found. Due to this many people are leaving the village and living in different cities. He is running his family’s livelihood by working hard.

Naxalites arrived from Chhattisgarh to execute the big incident

Misir Besra, a top Naxalite leader with a reward of one crore, is in charge of the Kolhan forest area. Naxalite squad has been called from Chhattisgarh to carry out the big incident here. Police say that the squad from Chhattisgarh has come earlier also. If sources are to be believed, about 12-15 Naxalites have come from Chhattisgarh recently. There are also some girls in the squad.

Naxalites gathered in Tonto after Dabish in Saranda

Naxalites have made Tonto their home since the year 2015-16. When the campaign of police and security forces intensified in Saranda, the Naxalites came to Tonto. The members and big leaders of the Central Committee of the Naxalites started living in the dense forests of the area, making caves and bunkers in the mountains. A training camp was made here. Some people of the village started working as spies for them. From the year 2022, the district police and security forces started campaigning against the Naxalites. Pickets and camps were opened. Due to this, the villagers got relief from the problem of electricity and water to a great extent. At the same time, due to the construction of roads, the traffic became easy.

Naxalites had come to kill two more villagers, when they were not found, they set the house on fire

According to sources, on Monday (August 21) night the Naxalites had planned to kill four villagers on suspicion of being police informers. Naxalites killed Supay and beat Jamadar to half-dead. After this, the Naxalites searched for Boyo and Gandhi of Gitilgutu village, but both were not found. Sources tell that Boyo and Gandhi used to cooperate with Naxalites in the past. Recently distanced himself from them. For this reason, the Naxalites have heard the order of his death. Boyo ran away as soon as he got a clue of Naxalites entering the village. Angry Naxalites had set his house on fire. Gandhi has been living outside the village for a long time.

Naxalites surrounded, then laid trap of IED and spike hole

In Tonto and Goilkera, Naxalites were surrounded from all sides due to the raid of security forces. In such a situation, to harm the security forces and for their own safety, a trap of IEDs and spike holes was laid at various places. A dozen villagers lost their lives due to its grip. At the same time, many were injured. Whereas, many soldiers were also injured. However, the security forces destroyed about 200 IEDs and dozens of spike holes.

Sent a proposal for compensation to the dependents of the killed villagers: DIG

Kolhan DIG Ajay Linda has termed the killing of villagers on suspicion of being police informers as the fury of Naxalites. He told that the villagers who were murdered were not police informers or SPOs. All were Naxalite supporters in the past. The dependents of the killed villagers will be given benefits as per the resolution of the government. Its proposal has been sent to the government.
