The consecration ceremony of Ram temple is being held in Ayodhya on Monday. Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo on the same day Mamata Banerjee Has announced to lead a “goodwill rally” with people of all religions in the metropolis. This rally will not only be taken out in the metropolis, but by Trinamool across the state. There is talk of Ms. Banerjee worshiping Goddess Kali at Kalighat temple just before the rally. After this, she will start the procession from Hazra More in South Kolkata at around 3 pm. The rally taken out by Trinamool will end at the Park Circus Ground and before that it will pass through places of worship of various religions including mosques, churches and Gurudwaras. Ms. Banerjee will also address the people at Park Circus ground.

It is noteworthy that in a press conference at the State Secretariat on Tuesday, the Chief Minister had announced that Trinamool would take out a goodwill rally on January 22. He had also said that this rally has nothing to do with any other program and “life prestige” is not the work of leaders but of religious leaders. He has asked the party workers to organize similar rallies at all the district and block levels of the state. Also, people of every section and religion of the society have been called upon to participate in the rally.
More than 35 rallies will be held in Kolkata today
More than 35 rallies will be taken out in Kolkata today. 4,000 policemen will be deployed on the city streets. Changes have been planned at many places in the traffic routes so that passengers do not have to face problems. The proposed rallies will pass through Bhawanipur, Camac Street, Sealdah, Garfa, Patuli, Shakuntala Park and Port areas. All police stations have been instructed to remain alert throughout the day.
