West Bengal: Sukant Majumdar and Shubhendu Adhikari were again called to Delhi to discuss the list of candidates.

For 23 seats in West Bengal B J P BJP has not yet released the list of candidates. This includes Jalpaiguri parliamentary seat, where the first phase of voting is to be held on April 19. State BJP President once again under central leadership amidst the dilemma in selection of candidates. Sukant Majumdar (Sukant Majumdar, And opposition party leader Shubhendu Adhikari was summoned to Delhi. This will be discussed again in the meeting on Saturday. According to information received from BJP sources, the candidates on seats like Medinipur, Burdwan-Durgapur, Jalpaiguri, Barasat, South Kolkata, Diamond Harbor have not been decided yet.

Will leave for Delhi tomorrow

Many leaders have claimed candidature on these seats. Candidates could not be selected from three seats of North Bengal, which BJP had won last time, namely Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Raiganj. Sukant and Shubhendu had gone to New Delhi only last week for the selection of candidates. The meeting of BJP’s Central Election Committee has also not been held yet. Sukant and Shubhendu have been called to New Delhi to attend the meeting. Both the leaders will reach Delhi on Saturday morning. The list of candidates will be finalized after meeting with them.

A scene like Delhi can be seen in Bengal

Bharatiya Janata Party’s West Bengal unit president Sukant Majumdar, referring to Kejriwal’s arrest, said that a scene like the national capital could be seen in the state too. Majumdar said, “Last month, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was arrested. Went. Now, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested. This only shows that if you are involved in corruption, being the Chief Minister does not give you any kind of immunity. Such allegations of corruption have come to light in the last few years in West Bengal also.
