Kolkata, Vikas Kumar Gupta : A situation of confusion prevailed for the policemen on duty at the Survey Park police station in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, on Thursday morning when a woman went missing around 9 in the morning. Cat In search of her, she reached the police station to register her missing diary. According to the police, a woman resident of Santoshpur reached Survey Park police station with her son. The mother and son cried and said, Sir, write a diary of my cat’s disappearance. The police officers explained to the mother and son that usually when people go missing, there is a provision to write a police missing diary. But there is no provision to write a missing diary if the cat gets lost, but the housewife was not ready to listen to anything. She told that she lives in a three-storey flat in Santoshpur. A pet cat named Mini from the room of the flat has been missing since Wednesday night. She was not found at home almost the whole night.

Hearing the woman’s words, the police remembered a recent incident when a woman had fallen from the cornice while trying to save her cat, due to which she lost her life. As soon as this incident came to light, the policeman posted at the police station assured the woman that even if she could not register a missing diary in the police station, still he would definitely search for her missing cat. After this, on Thursday, the police of Survey Park police station reached the woman’s house in Santoshpur. This time the policeman was conducting the raid not in search of any accused but in search of a cat. Search of the entire house was started. Not only the woman’s flat, but also other flats were searched by the police after taking permission from the people living there.

Hidden cat found after searching for two and a half hours

Police sources say that finally after two and a half hours of searching, the missing cat was seen outside a flat. When an attempt was made to find it, it jumped to the lower floor. A policeman even tried to save him from the cornice. At last the woman brought milk and fish, her beloved cat’s favorite food, there. At first Mini (the cat) did not come even after calling several times. When other people including the policeman went far away. Then Mini got greedy for milk and fish. After which he was caught. Police said that after handing over Mini (the cat) to the said woman and her son after advising them not to take her out of the flat again, the policemen returned to the police station with a sigh of relief, with a relaxed face.
