Kolkata, Vikas Kumar Gupta: After the cold weather in West Bengal, now the heat is slowly knocking in Kolkata. Kolkata Police Preparations for this have already been started. In view of the increasing bills due to ACs running in the city’s police stations every summer during summer, Kolkata Police is now preparing to run ACs on solar energy. Under this pilot project, it has been started by installing solar plates in Gardenreach police station falling within the port area. It is being told that if this experiment is successful, then in the next few months, on the lines of this model, most of the electrical equipment in the police stations, apart from ACs, will be operated with solar energy in every police station of the city.
