West Bengal: Four new police stations including Bhangar will be connected to Kolkata Police in the new year.

Kolkata, Vikas Kumar Gupta: To maintain law and order in West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee (Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Had announced to bring Bhangar and surrounding police stations under South 24 Parganas under Kolkata Police. In this regard, following the instructions of the CM, a law was also passed in the Assembly. After this, its preparations were going on in full swing. Now in the new year, four new police stations including Bhangar, Bhangar, North Kashipur, Polerhat and Chandaneshwar police stations are going to be added to the purview of Kolkata Police.

Four new police stations will be added to Kolkata Police

Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal visited many nearby police stations including Bhangarh and the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office and took stock of the preparations there. During this he said that the Chief Minister had already announced this. This has been implemented. Under the first phase, four new police stations will be added to Kolkata Police. Along with this, a traffic guard will also be added to Kolkata Police. After this, the remaining police stations announced will be brought under the purview of Kolkata Police.

Apart from four police stations, CP also visited a traffic guard building.

Here, sources say that on January 2, 2024, four police stations including Bhangar are going to join Kolkata Police. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will formally announce the bringing of Bhangar, North Kashipur, Polerhat and Chandaneshwar police stations under Kolkata Police from now on in an official function at Netaji Indoor Stadium on 2 January 2024. Kolkata Police has delivered batons, helmets, walkie-talkies and other equipment to these four police stations of Bhangar on Saturday night. Linking the police stations with Kolkata Police will help in maintaining law and order.
