West Bengal: Elections for five Rajya Sabha seats in Bengal will be held on February 27.

Trinamool may change its candidates on two seats

However, according to sources, candidates can be changed on two seats. But the biggest question is about Abhishek Manu Singhvi. Because last time Trinamool had supported Congress candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi. According to the information, the number of Trinamool MLAs in the assembly is 216. Many BJP MLAs and one Congress MLA have joined Trinamool. In such a situation, based on the number of MLAs, the victory of Trinamool candidates on four seats is certain. Since BJP has 67 MLAs in the state, BJP will also contest on one seat.

Biennial elections for 56 seats in 15 states on 27 February

According to the information given by the Commission on Monday, the biennial elections for 56 seats in Rajya Sabha from 15 states will be held on February 27. The Election Commission gave this information on Monday. The Commission said that 50 members will retire on April 2, while six members will retire on April 3. The states from where the members are retiring include Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Rajasthan are included.
