West Bengal: Eastern Railway also made special arrangements to enable the devotees of Ram to have the darshan of Ramlala.

In Ayodhya on 22 January Ram Mandir Eastern Railway has also started preparations for the inauguration and consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir. Railways has decided to run Aastha special train across the country. After the completion of the inauguration program of the temple, about 200 trains from 66 cities will operate for Ayodhya Dham. Aastha special train will also be run from Bengal. These trains will continue to operate for 100 days. According to sources, Howrah station has been selected by the Railway Board for Aastha Special Train.

IRCTC’s responsibility to serve vegetarian food in trains

This 22 bogie train going to Ayodhya Dham station will have seating arrangement for one thousand passengers. The responsibility of serving vegetarian food in the train has been handed over to IRCTC. IRCTC will operate Aastha special trains. When the passengers of this train reach Howrah station, there will be arrangements to sit in the sleeper class waiting room. Preparations are in full swing regarding this. Recently, to take stock of the preparations, senior officials of Howrah Division and IRCTC have inspected the waiting room of Howrah station several times.

Competition among those booking air tickets for Ayodhya

There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people of Bengal to participate in the consecration ceremony of Ram temple. According to Kolkata Airport sources, more than three hundred people had booked air tickets on Wednesday and Thursday. Air service was started from Kolkata to Ayodhya on Wednesday. 137 passengers went to Ayodhya on the first flight of Air India. According to Kolkata Airport sources, at present Air India flights will go only three days a week on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
