Panchayat Election: Final list of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti election results released

The State Election Commission released the final list of Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad election results on Tuesday, a week after the counting of votes. According to information, Trinamool Congress has won unopposed on 16 out of 928 Zilla Parishad seats. Trinamool has won unopposed one seat each in Birbhum and Coochbehar. Trinamool won unopposed on three seats in North 24 Parganas. The Trinamool won unopposed on eight seats in South 24 Parganas. Trinamool has won three Zilla Parishad seats unopposed in Uttar Dinajpur. Apart from this, Trinamool Congress has won 879 seats in the elections. On the other hand, BJP has won 31 seats in Zilla Parishad elections.

BJP rally in metropolis today

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will take out a big rally in the metropolis today against incidents of violence and rigging during Panchayat elections. However, the police has not given permission for this rally. According to the information received from BJP sources, there is a plan to take out a rally from College Square to Dharmatalla on Wednesday afternoon. Despite not getting permission from the police, the BJP is planning to take out a rally here. A few days ago, State BJP President Sukant Mazumdar had announced to take out a rally in the metropolis. He had said that the ruling party rigged the recently concluded panchayat elections at every level. From filing of nominations, to election campaigning, violence has also been witnessed on polling day and counting centers. After the counting of votes, now BJP supporters and workers are being attacked by the workers of the ruling party, this rally will be taken out in protest against this.
