Many trains canceled for interlocking work in Howrah division, routes of some changed
The work of commissioning of the third line is going on between Chatra and Murarai stations of Howrah division. For the above work, non-interlocking work will be done in Sahibganj Loop section from 22 December to 2 January 2024. In such a situation, train operations between Chatra and Murarai stations will be affected. Due to train service being affected in the said section for 12 days, routes and destination stations of many trains have been changed and some have also been cancelled. According to the release issued by the Railways, from January 22 to January 2, 13011 Howrah-Malda Town Intercity Express, 13031 Howrah-Jayanagar Express, 13027 Howrah-Azimganj Kaviguru Express, 13023 Howrah-Gaya Express in the up direction have been cancelled. Direction’s 13012 Malda Town-Howrah Intercity Express, 13032 Jaynagar-Howrah Express, 13028 Azimganj-Howrah Kaviguru Express, 13024 Gaya-Howrah Express have been canceled from December 23 to January 3. Apart from this, changes have been made in the routes of some trains.
