Kojagari Lakhi Puja today, enthusiasm visible among people
With the completion of Durga Utsav in Shilpanchal and its surrounding areas, preparations are being made in full swing for the worship of Maa Kojagari Lakshmi (Lakkhi). Kojagari Lakhi Puja is on Saturday. There was a lot of bustle in various markets of the city on Friday. Idols were seen decorated for sale for worship. The statues were sold in the market for Rs 100 to Rs 500. On this day, a huge crowd was seen in the markets for purchasing idols, puja and prasad material. Readymade Alpana, footprints of the Goddess etc. were also seen being sold in the markets. In every house of the Bengali community, people were seen busy in preparations for the puja.
