Now exams will be held twice in higher secondary
Like CBSE, Higher Secondary examination will be held twice a year. Candidates will have to appear for the exam in November 2025 and March 2026. Marksheet will be prepared from the average marks of both the examinations. The first written examination will be on OMR sheet. The questions of the second examination will be short and descriptive. Higher Secondary Education Council Chairman Dr Chiranjeev Bhattacharya said on Tuesday that the proposal is being sent to the state government. This rule will be applicable from the academic year 2024-25. Semester system is going to be started in the new education policy adopted by the state. Updated information regarding the entire examination process will be released on the council soon.

ED has asked for more documents from Trinamool MP Nusrat Jahan in the Rajarhat flat scam case. ED claims that Nusrat did not submit many documents which were asked for.
