Attack on Sadhus of UP going to Gangasagar in Purulia
Going from Uttar Pradesh to the famous pilgrimage site of West Bengal, Gangasagar. Monks A case of alleged mob lynching has come to light in Purulia, West Bengal. Bharatiya Janata Party has attacked the Mamata Banerjee government regarding the matter. Union Minister Anurag Thakur has directly attacked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He asked why there is this atmosphere in Bengal? He has accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of appeasement and has also raised questions on law and order. It is noteworthy that so far 12 people have been arrested in this case.
District administration closed ghat number two in Gangasagar
The tradition of bathing in Ganga is very ancient in Sanatan Dharma, which continues continuously. Bathing in Ganga on the day of Makar Sankranti has a different significance. That too, taking bath in the Ganges at ‘Ganga Sagar’, the meeting place of Ganga and Sagar, is equivalent to attaining salvation. The district administration has closed ‘Do Number Ghat’, the largest beach of Sagardweep. The administration says that from the safety point of view of the pilgrims, they are not being allowed to bathe at this ghat.
