Disaster Management Department will open control room during Durga Puja, Kali Puja and Chhath Puja.
There is less than a month left for Durga Puja and the State Secretariat has already become ready for the safety of the people during the puja. The state government has already prepared a plan regarding security arrangements in the entire state including Kolkata during the puja days, under which this time a special control room will be opened in the state secretariat from Chaturthi itself. For this, the state government has started a helpline number, whose number is 2214 3526. This control room will remain open from 18th to 29th October. It has been told that the West Bengal government is ready to prevent any kind of incident or accident during the puja.
