Ban on movement of medium and heavy goods vehicles through Vidyasagar Bridge from tonight
Due to repair work on Vidyasagar Setu, two lanes going from Kolkata to Howrah will be closed and a trial run will be conducted by the traffic department from 10 pm on Monday night. According to the release issued by Kolkata Traffic Police, there will be a ban on the movement of all types of medium and heavy goods vehicles on Vidyasagar Bridge from 10 pm on Tuesday night. During this period, all medium and heavy goods vehicles going west via Vidyasagar Setu via DL Khan Road, AJC Bose Road will be diverted from DL Khan Road to Mayo Road, Dufferin Road, Esplanade Road, East CR Avenue, Bhupen Bose Avenue, Tala Bridge and Will be sent out of Kolkata through Nivedita Setu.
