West Bengal: Bolpur’s Takdira Begum gets Padma Shri for Kantha stitching

Birbhum, Mukesh Tiwari: Another person from Birbhum district of West Bengal will be awarded the fourth highest civilian honor Padma Shri. kantha stitcher Takdeera Begum (TAkdeera Begum, Has been selected for Padmashree. Takdira Begum Kantha, resident of Jambani, Bolpur, is an expert in tailoring. Seeing this skill, the Central Government has decided to give him Padmashree. As soon as this was known, State Micro, Small and Medium and Textile Affairs Minister Chandranath Sinha visited Takdira Begum’s house and honored her. This good news was given to him by a call from the Textiles Ministry on Thursday. At first she was surprised.
