Howrah(West Bengal), Kundan Jha: About 100 huts were burnt to ashes in a massive fire in a settlement near Dumurjola Stadium in Ichhapur area of ​​Bentra police station area. In the blink of an eye the fire took a horrifying form. Before the residents could take their belongings out of their houses, the fire engulfed the entire colony. People started running here and there to save their lives. A stampede occurred. Due to the explosion of the LPG cylinder, the flames became so huge that vehicular traffic was banned on the Drainage Canal Road. People living in nearby residential buildings came out of their houses and came down. A total of 10 fire tenders reached the spot one by one and after four hours of hard work the fire was brought under control. In this fire the entire colony was burnt to ashes. However, there is no news of any casualty in this fire. Short circuit is being said to be the primary cause of the fire. As soon as the news of the incident was received, Fire Minister Sujit Bose reached the spot and took stock of the incident.
