what is the matter

Gangopadhyay was quoted by a news channel as saying that he “cannot choose between (Mahatma) Gandhi and (Nathuram) Godse”. Giving his clarification, he said that “as a person associated with the legal profession, I should try to understand the other side of the story”. He argued that one should read the writings of Nathuram Godse and understand why Godse had to kill Mahatma Gandhi. Till then he cannot choose between Gandhi and Godse. Although Gangopadhyay condemned the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, he stressed the need to examine all aspects of historical events.
