He has been sent to the post of ADG Law and Order. At the same time, Javed Shamim, who held the post of ADG Law and Order for a long time, has been brought to the post of Additional Director of Security of the state.

Senior IPS officer Siddhanath Gupta was also transferred.

He will also hold the charge of ADG IB as an additional post. At the same time, senior state IPS officer Siddhanath Gupta has also been transferred. Siddhanath Gupta has been given the charge of DGP, SCRB, West Bengal from DG and IGP, South Bengal. Also, transfers have been made to many top police posts in the state. It is noteworthy that Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the next few months. In such a situation, before the elections, officers are being transferred as per the instructions of the Commission. According to sources, as per the rules of the Election Commission, all the police officers who have been on the same post for three years or more have been replaced.

Many DIG level officers of the state were also transferred

It has been told that many DIG level officers of the state have also been transferred. This table list includes Darjeeling, Barasat, Bidhannagar, Barrackpur, Howrah, Bangaon. A total of 48 police officers have been transferred in the state. According to the information received from the State Secretariat, not only the top posts of the police but also the secretaries of many departments have been reshuffled.

District Magistrates of former Burdwan and Birbhum also transferred

Reshuffle has also been done on many Deputy Commissioner posts. SPs of Kalimpong, Islampur and Basirhat police districts have been transferred. District Magistrates of East Burdwan and Birbhum have also been transferred. Birbhum District Magistrate Bidhan Chandra Roy has been sent to the post of District Magistrate of East Burdwan. At the same time, the current District Magistrate of East Burdwan Purnendu Kumar Majhi has been given the responsibility of District Magistrate of Birbhum.
