The havoc of cold continues in Delhi. The maximum temperature recorded here on Sunday was 15.8 degrees Celsius, which is five degrees less than the average maximum temperature of the season. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) department has predicted dense fog and cold on January 22.

An alert of severe cold and fog has been issued for the next four-five days in many districts of the state including the capital Lucknow.
According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain may occur over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, parts of Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal and Kerala. There are chances of light rain at one or two places in Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep and in Arunachal Pradesh.

Whereas in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, conditions ranging from cold wave to extreme cold wave can be seen.
There was dense fog at many places in Rajasthan on Monday morning and the cold wave continued. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the effect of cold wave and fog will continue in the state till January 24.
The cold westerly wind continues to flow in Patna, the capital of Bihar and the chill also persists. According to Meteorological Center Patna, there will be no change in the weather for the next three days. Cold wave and moderate level fog will persist. At the same time, due to cold winds, people will not suffer from cold. There is no possibility of rain for the next four days.
As soon as the sky clears in Jharkhand, the cold has started showing its effect. The weather center estimates that the minimum temperature will remain low till this week. At present there is no hope of relief from cold. Right now the weather will be dry. The sky will also be clear.
