The Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ for dense fog in Delhi and its surrounding areas on Saturday. Mainly clear sky with dense to very dense fog is expected in the early hours of Saturday. IMD said that the cold wave may continue at different places in Delhi and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 15 and seven degrees Celsius respectively.
Talking about Kashmir Valley, there may be light snowfall and rain next week, due to which people’s long wait for snowfall will seem to end. The Meteorological Department said that the weather is likely to remain dry till January 24 and it will be generally cloudy on Saturday evening.
The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of light snowfall at different places in the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir on January 25. There may be light rain or snowfall at some places in Jammu and Kashmir from 26 to 28 January. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain or snowfall at many places from January 29 to 31.
The harshness of winter will continue in Bihar for the next four days. There will be more severe cold in Bihar from 20 to 24 January. IMD has issued a high alert and appealed to the people not to leave their homes unless there is a special need. According to the forecast, there will be dense fog across the state for the next four days, due to which the highest temperature is also expected to remain much lower.
The fog will clear in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi and surrounding areas from Saturday. Due to this the temperature may fall. The weather will clear this afternoon. It is noteworthy that due to cloudy sky the minimum temperature had increased. At the same time, the maximum temperature had fallen. Due to the reduction in the difference between maximum and minimum temperatures, cold was being felt throughout the day. The Meteorological Center has predicted that the haze may reduce on 20-21. On January 22 and 23, there may be moderate to dense fog at many places in the state. Yellow alert has been issued regarding this. According to the Meteorological Centre, the minimum temperature of the capital may remain below nine degrees Celsius for one or two days.
According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain may occur over Odisha, parts of Chhattisgarh and the south coast of Tamil Nadu. There are chances of light rain in Lakshadweep, Southern Kerala, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Dense to very dense fog may be seen in parts of Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh in the morning and night and at one or two places in Uttarakhand and North Rajasthan.
According to Skymet Weather, cold day to severe cold day conditions may continue in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, West Uttar Pradesh and West Rajasthan. At the same time, cold day like conditions may be seen at one or two places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, some parts of Sikkim and East Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh.
