Weather News: IMD forecast, less rain and more heat in the first fortnight of September in Bihar

Bihar will go through tough weather conditions in September. Monsoon which was more or less active in Sawan may remain weak in Bhadon. Actually, IMD has issued a forecast of less rain in the first fortnight of September. Day and night (maximum and minimum) temperatures are expected to be above normal in Bihar during this period. According to the official report of IMD, there is a possibility of light rain in the whole of Bihar in the first week of September. It will be less than normal. Due to the weak monsoon in the second week, there are chances of less than normal rains in the state.

According to IMD’s long-term forecast report, the maximum temperature is expected to be above normal in the first two weeks of September. In the first week of September, the maximum temperature in the north-east, south-central and south-east of the state can remain between 34-36 degree Celsius and in the remaining parts of the state, the mercury can remain between 36-38 degree Celsius. Similarly, in the second week of September, the mercury can reach up to 38 degree Celsius in some parts of the north-west of the state. The maximum temperature is likely to be above normal in the remaining parts as well. More or less, the minimum temperature of the state is also expected to be above normal. In most parts of the state, the minimum temperature is expected to be between 26-28 degree Celsius. In the second week of September, except for the North East, the minimum temperature is likely to be near normal in the rest of the parts.

Drought like situation in these districts

In Arwal, Aurangabad, Begusarai, Bhabua, Bhojpur, Gaya, Gopalganj, Jamui, Lakhisarai, Nawada, Patna, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Sheikhpura, Sitamarhi and West Champaran districts, rainfall has decreased by 35 to 51%. The situation in these districts is more or less like drought. This situation may worsen in September. The districts of South-West Bihar are the most affected by the conditions of less rains. Patna district in central Bihar is also in the grip of less rain. The Shahabad region, which is called the rice bowl, has received less rain.

, From June 1 to August 30, Bihar has received only 569.6 percent rainfall, 27 percent less than normal.
