The severe cold in North India has troubled the people. At present there is no hope of relief from the cold. The Meteorological Department has said that dense to very dense fog is likely to continue during the next 4-5 days.
Cold wave continues in the national capital Delhi. Due to the continuous cold wave in NCR too, people are resorting to bonfires to escape the cold. On Sunday, the minimum temperature in Delhi-NCR was recorded four degrees Celsius below normal. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog for the next four to five days. Orange alert has been issued for the next two days.
The weather patterns will change in some parts of Jharkhand from January 16. The sky may remain cloudy. According to the Meteorological Center, there may be light rain at isolated places in the southern (Kolhan), north-eastern (Santal and Koylanchal) and central (capital and surrounding) parts of the state on January 17 and 18. During this period, the minimum temperature in the capital and other areas may increase by more than 10 degrees Celsius. The weather may clear up from January 19. After the weather clears, the minimum temperature may fall once again.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, cold wave conditions will continue in Bihar for two more days. In such a situation, people have been alerted by the Meteorological Department. On the other hand, there are problems due to dense fog in the morning. Cold wave will continue in Gaya district on Monday also. According to the Meteorological Department, Monday will also be declared as Gaya Cold Day.
Due to north-western cold winds, most parts of the state including the capital Lucknow are experiencing severe cold. A drop in minimum temperature has been recorded in most of the districts. The Meteorological Department has said that the cold wave will continue in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow for the next two days.
Talking about the weather of Madhya Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog in many districts of the state on Monday. Today dense fog is visible in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind and Morena. If we look at the weather of Chhattisgarh, there is not likely to be much change in the temperature of the state today. The mercury may drop slightly at night, but there will be no significant change in the day temperature.
According to Skymet Weather, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions may be seen in parts of Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and some places of East Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh. Whereas, cold day conditions are possible at one or two places in Southern Haryana and North-Western Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of dense fog in Jammu division, western Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Assam.
