The air quality in Delhi was again recorded in the ‘severe’ category due to accumulation of pollutants due to drop in temperature and slow wind speed at night. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the effect of a western disturbance affecting north-western India is likely to be visible from November 27, due to which there may be some relief from pollution.
According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is forming in Jharkhand on November 26, whose partial effect can be seen in the state. Because of this, there are chances of the temperature increasing by two to four degrees Celsius. After the sky clears, a drop in temperature across the state may be recorded by November 29. The sky will remain partly cloudy till 28th November.
Heavy rains are being seen in many areas of Tamil Nadu. Holiday has been declared in all the schools of the capital Chennai. India Meteorological Department has issued a storm warning for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
According to the Meteorological Department, a fresh western disturbance may move towards northwest India from Gujarat-Maharashtra-Goa coasts on 25 and 26 November. Due to this, light rain may be seen in Central Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada and Madhya Pradesh till 27th November.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of thunderstorms and hail with lightning at isolated places in Southern Rajasthan, South-Western Madhya Pradesh, North Central Maharashtra and Northern Marathwada during November 26-27.
According to the Meteorological Department, during November 26 to 28, light rain may occur at isolated places in the Western Himalayan region and the plains of North-West India. The department has expressed the possibility of hailstorm along with storm and lightning at different places in Uttarakhand on November 27.
There is a change in the weather of Uttar Pradesh. On November 27, rain and thundershowers may be seen at some places in the state. The weather will remain dry in the state between 28-30 November. There are chances of rain in Eastern and Western UP on 27th November.
