The shivering cold in Delhi troubled people in the morning. Dense fog is visible in many areas of NCR including Delhi, which has increased the chill. The Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky and dense fog on Saturday morning, while the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 19 and five degrees Celsius respectively.
Cold wave continues in Bihar. The mercury has gone below 10 degrees Celsius in many districts. Patna District Magistrate Chandra Shekhar Singh has ordered all government and private schools up to class 8 to remain closed till January 16 due to severe cold. More and more dense fog was seen in most places of the state in the morning. Due to this, a significant drop in temperature has been recorded.
The effect of the wind blowing from the northern part of the country is also visible in Jharkhand. According to the Meteorological Center, the temperature is falling due to the removal of clouds. The situation will remain like this for the next five days. There is also a possibility of light rain in many parts of the state on January 17 and 18.
Cold westerly wind has increased the severity in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of cold wave at one or two places in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, there is little chance of relief from the severe cold in the state for the next three days.
A drop in temperature has been recorded in other hilly areas of Uttarakhand including the capital Dehradun, due to which the entire state is in the grip of severe cold. The Meteorological Department said that the cold wave situation in the state will continue for the next few days. The department has expressed the possibility of cold wave and dense fog at some places in the plains of Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar districts of the state and adjoining Dehradun, Pauri and Nainital districts till January 16.
Cold wave continues in many parts of Rajasthan. In many cities of the state, the minimum temperature is being recorded below 10 degrees Celsius, due to which people are facing problems.
According to meteorologists, cold wave may occur at some places in the districts of Gwalior-Chambal and Sagar divisions of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. However, the sky has become clear in many areas of the state. Due to sunshine, the day temperature is now increasing. It has been told that light rain may also be seen at some places.
If we look at the weather of Chhattisgarh, there is a possibility of the mercury falling further in the state today. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature may fall in the coming three days. Due to snowfall in North India, cold winds will start after January 15.
According to Skymet Weather, there are chances of fog in parts of West Bengal, Odisha, Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, North Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura in the morning between 13 and 16 January. At the same time, cold day to severe cold day conditions are expected to continue in some parts of Punjab and Haryana. Scattered rain and snowfall may be seen in the Western Himalayas during the next 24 to 48 hours.
