The intensity of western disturbances usually increases by the second week of November and continues till February or March with peak intensity during December and January. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places with light to moderate rain over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, South Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Light rain may occur at isolated places in Lakshadweep and Northeast India.

According to SAFAR, the overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi is 309 which is in the ‘very poor’ category. Earlier it was reported that the air quality of the capital reached ‘very poor’ category on Saturday and it is expected to worsen further in the coming days due to adverse weather conditions. According to the Centre’s air quality forecasting system for Delhi, the city’s air quality has reached ‘very poor’ category due to slow wind speed and drop in night time temperatures. The air quality is expected to remain very poor till the end of the month.
According to the latest data from SAFAR-India, the overall air quality in Delhi is in the ‘very poor’ category with an AQI of 309. The air quality in Noida is also in ‘very poor’ category with 372 AQI, while the air quality in Gurugram is in ‘poor’ category with 221 AQI.

According to the Meteorological Department, the feeling of cold will continue at night. Cold is likely to increase from the second week of November.
