IMD released a report and said in it that – during the next 5 days, there will be a gradual rise in maximum temperature by 2 to 4 degree Celsius over most parts of the country. Not only this, the weather office has also predicted thunderstorms and strong winds in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh during the next two days. It was said in the advisory – There is a possibility of thunderstorms with strong winds in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh during the next two days.
5 days warning:
(i) Thunderstorms with gusty winds likely over Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh during next 2 days and decrease thereafter.

Expected to experience above normal maximum temperature
Earlier this month, the Meteorological Department had said that many parts of the country, except parts of the northwest and peninsular region, are expected to experience above normal maximum temperatures from April to June. IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said- Heat wave is expected to continue for a long time in some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana. Climate change is increasing global temperatures and worsening the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events.
India records hottest February this year
According to the IMD, India recorded the warmest February this year since record-keeping began in 1901. However, above normal rains due to seven western disturbances, including five strong ones, kept the temperature in check in March. In several parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and other states, prolonged pre-monsoon rains, thunderstorms, hailstorms and lightning damaged crops.
