According to Skymet Weather, on November 9, moderate to heavy rain is possible in parts of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. There are chances of light to moderate rain in Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep along with heavy rain at one or two places.
According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain may occur over Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Konkan and Goa and Central Maharashtra.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of major change in the maximum temperature. Generally the weather will remain dry with sunshine during the day. Such weather conditions will be seen in the state till November 14. The cold has not yet taken hold in November and similar weather is likely to continue even after half the month has passed.
Pollution is not showing any sign of reduction in the country’s capital Delhi. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in Delhi remains in the ‘severe’ category. On Thursday, AQI was recorded 432 in Anand Vihar, 453 in RK Puram, 441 in ITO, 444 in Punjabi Bagh. Rajasthan and Haryana are also suffering from pollution. AQI was recorded at 459 in the morning in Bhiwadi.
There has been a decline in the maximum temperature in many districts including Bihar’s capital Patna. According to the Meteorological Department, Bihar will remain generally dry during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of fog in the morning. The department has expressed the possibility of light fog in the north-eastern, western parts of the state and the Himalayan foothills. The minimum temperature of Bihar is expected to decrease by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in three days.
Cold has knocked across Jharkhand including its capital Ranchi. Fog is visible in the morning and late night. Western disturbance has increased the effect of cold in the surrounding districts including the capital Ranchi, affecting life. Dhanteras is on 10th November while Diwali is on 12th November. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the weather will be dry on both the days and the sky is likely to be clear.
Due to western disturbance, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall on high hills in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad on November 9 and 10. The department has predicted rain in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and lower areas of Uttarakhand and snowfall in higher reaches.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in different parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Western Rajasthan on November 9. This can provide relief from smog in the atmosphere.
