According to Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, South Coast of Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Saturday. There are chances of light to moderate rain in Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka.
According to Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of light rain in Chhattisgarh and Odisha along with moderate rain at one or two places. There are chances of rain in some parts of Jharkhand also. No improvement is expected in Delhi Air Quality Index. Air pollution in Delhi and NCR will remain in severe category.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi is in the ‘severe’ category. According to CPBC, the overall air quality index (AQI) in Noida is in the ‘severe’ category. AQI was recorded as 428 severe in Sector 62 of Noida, AQI 426 in severe category in Sector 116, AQI 374 in Sector 1 as very poor and AQI 386 in Sector 125 as very poor.
Many parts of Tamil Nadu received torrential rain on Friday and the Regional Meteorological Center has warned of more rain in the next three days. Additional Director General of Meteorology S Balachandran said that Chennai and its suburbs will receive intermittent and sometimes heavy rains. He said that there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Theni and Dindigul districts in the next 24 hours. Along with this, heavy rain may also occur at some places in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Sivagangai, Pudukottai, Tiruppur and Ramanathapuram districts. Schools in Madurai and Sivagangai districts will remain closed today due to heavy rain.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued ‘Orange Alert’ for three districts of Kerala, under which very heavy rains have been indicated. IMD said that very heavy rain may occur at some places in Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts on Friday. The weather department has also issued an ‘orange’ alert for Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts for Saturday.
It may rain in Jharkhand on November 4 also. The sky is likely to remain clear from November 5 to November 9. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be dry during this period. There will be fog or mist in the morning of 5th and 6th November and later the sky will be clear. According to the department, there may be light to moderate rain in Kolhan and Santalpargana on Saturday.
