A fresh western disturbance is expected to reach the Western Himalayas around December 29 or 30, due to which a change in the weather will be seen. According to the Meteorological Department, rain activities may be seen in some parts of North-West and Central India from the evening of December 31.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in many states in the last days of the year. According to the department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in coastal Tamil Nadu from December 30 to January 1.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will change in North-West and surrounding Central India. Light rain may be seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh as well as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Goa from December 30 to January 2.
According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, Western Disturbance is becoming active once again from 29-30 December 2023, due to which there is every possibility of change in the weather pattern in Jharkhand from the evening of 2 January 2024. The weather will be pleasant on January 1, but in other areas including Ranchi, it will start becoming cloudy from the evening of January 2 and it is expected to rain for three consecutive days from January 3.
Meteorologist Abhishek Anand said that this weather condition will be seen in Jharkhand as well as Bihar and Odisha. Due to cloudy sky and rain, there will be fog and mist in the morning in Jharkhand. There may be a huge drop in the minimum temperature.
According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog may be seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Goa and surrounding areas for the next four days.
Dense fog was seen in the national capital Delhi on Tuesday. According to the Air Quality Bulletin, there is no possibility of improvement in air quality in the capital. The air quality is likely to deteriorate and be in the “severe” category on Wednesday, while it is likely to be in the “very poor” category on Thursday.
Skymet, the weather forecasting agency, has also issued a forecast for the last days of the year. According to the agency, some parts of north-west and central India may see rain on New Year’s Eve. There is a possibility of change in the weather in Bihar at the beginning of the new year. According to IMD, western disturbance is likely to affect north-west India from December 29 due to which the weather will take a turn. Moderate to heavy fog may be seen at some places in South Bihar for the next two-four days. However, this will happen in a very limited area.
