The festival of Durga Puja is being celebrated at many places across the country. For such people of North India, there is an important update related to the weather. The news is that there is a possibility of light rain in some states including Jharkhand in the next two days. At the same time, cold is going to increase in many states including Bihar.
According to SkyMetWeather, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Allied to moderate rain is possible in Tamil Nadu. Light to moderate rain is possible in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Light rain may occur at one or two places over Lakshadweep, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, parts of West and North-West Rajasthan and Punjab and Western Himalayas.
The minimum temperature in the national capital Delhi on Saturday was recorded at 15.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal, while the air quality remained in the ‘poor’ category. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the relative humidity was recorded at 83 percent at 8.30 am.
The Meteorological Department has predicted mainly clear sky during the day for Delhi and the maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees Celsius.

The deep depression over the south-west Arabian Sea has transformed into a cyclonic storm. It is likely to move in the west-northwest direction and may turn into a severe cyclonic storm by the evening of 22 October.
Subsequently, it will move north-westwards from the morning of October 24 and may cross the Oman-Yemen coast between Salalah (Oman) and Al Ghayda (Yemen).
The low pressure area over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into a depression over west central Bay of Bengal around October 22.
After this, it is likely to move north-westwards towards Bangladesh and adjacent West Bengal coast during the next 3 days. A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Comorin area.
