Once again there is a change in the weather in the country. According to Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation in the country is located over the South Andaman Sea and extends up to the mid-tropospheric level, bending towards the south-west with height. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to develop in the south-east Bay of Bengal by November 14.
According to Skymet Weather, there is every possibility of it moving in the west-northwest direction and turning into a pressure area over central and adjacent South Bay of Bengal around November 16. Due to this, the weather pattern may change once again.
A cyclonic circulation over the southern Andaman Sea is likely to transform into a low pressure area, which may cause rain in the coastal districts of Bengal between 16 and 18 November.
The Odisha government on Monday directed collectors of seven coastal districts to ensure that no fishermen venture into the sea as a low pressure area is forming over the Bay of Bengal.
In the letter, the district authorities of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda and Ganjam of the state have been asked not to allow fishermen to go into the sea from November 15.
In the next 24 hours, there may be heavy rains in the state due to the formation of a low pressure area over the south-east Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department says that there may be light to moderate rain on November 15. At the same time, heavy rain is expected on 16th November.
According to Skymet Weather, during the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain occurred in parts of Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. Light rain occurred in southern Tamil Nadu and southern Kerala.
At the same time, Skymet Weather said that there may be moderate to heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain may occur over the southern coast of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh with heavy rain at some places.
Apart from this, light to moderate rain may occur in Rayalaseema, parts of Kerala and South Interior Karnataka.
