Delhi’s air quality again reaches ‘very poor’ category
Delhi’s air quality reached ‘very poor’ category on Saturday and is expected to deteriorate further in the coming days due to adverse weather conditions. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the city’s 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) stood at 304 (very poor) while it was at 261 (poor) on Friday. It was 256 on Thursday, 243 on Wednesday and 220 on Tuesday. AQI was recorded at 291 in neighboring cities Ghaziabad, 272 in Faridabad, 252 in Gurugram, 284 in Noida and 346 in Greater Noida. According to Skymet Weather, during the next 24 hours, Northeast Monsoon is likely to become active over the South Peninsula.
