Weather Forecast: How will be the weather of Delhi on Republic Day, IMD has created a special page on Republic Day.

Severe cold conditions persist across the country including Delhi NCR. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there was some relief from the severe cold in the beginning of the day in which the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.3 degrees Celsius, which is one degree more than the average temperature of this season. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog at different places on Thursday morning. Here IMD has created a special page regarding Republic Day 2024. In which the weather condition of entire Delhi including India Gate, Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi Railway Station is given.

How will the weather be in Delhi on Republic Day?

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of cold will be visible in different parts of Delhi on Republic Day.

India Gate – There will be fog in the morning on 26th January. Whereas the minimum temperature is expected to be around 10 degrees and the maximum temperature is expected to be around 19 degrees. There is no chance of rain.

Indira Gandhi International Airport- There will be fog in the morning on 26th January. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 12 degrees and the maximum temperature is expected to be around 20 degrees. There is no chance of rain.

Chandni Chowk- There will be fog in the morning on 26th January. The minimum temperature is expected to be 11 and the maximum temperature is expected to be 20 degrees. Whereas there is no possibility of rain on that day.

Akshardham Temple- There will be fog in the morning on 26th January. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 10 to 11 degrees and the maximum temperature is expected to be around 18 degrees. There is no possibility of rain and no alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department.

Fog affects transport and aviation activities in Delhi

The effect of fog is clearly visible at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. IMD said that due to forecast of dense fog, transport and aviation activities in Delhi may be affected on Thursday also. Here on Wednesday, due to fog in some parts of North India, 24 trains coming to Delhi were delayed by one to six hours.
