The Meteorological Department says that the weather conditions may be severe in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan on Monday and Tuesday. While updating, IMD said that there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in different parts of North-West and Central India on January 8 and 9.

IMD Director General M Mahapatra has said that after the weather conditions become normal for two days and the western disturbance advances and the clouds disappear, the cold will increase significantly. Apart from this, there is a possibility of sporadic hailstorm in eastern Rajasthan in the coming two-three days. Whereas from January 8, there may be rain in Madhya Pradesh for one or two days.
Cold will increase with rain in many states
According to Skymet Weather, there may be light to moderate rain in Tamil Nadu on Monday with heavy rain at some places. Apart from this, there may be light to moderate rain in Kerala and South Karnataka. At the same time, light rain is possible in parts of Lakshadweep, Konkan and Goa, Rajasthan, East Gujarat, East Rajasthan and Western Madhya Pradesh. Very dense fog may occur at one or two places in Punjab, parts of North Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Dense fog may occur at one or two places in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh and Tripura. Cold day conditions may occur in Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh.
Severe cold in Jammu and Kashmir
With the beginning of the new year, the cold has increased significantly in Jammu. The coldest night of this season was recorded last Saturday.
