The temperature in the capital of Jharkhand has fallen by more than three degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. It is likely to fall further in the next 24 hours. The temperature is falling after the effects of Typhoon Michong end. The minimum temperature in the capital may reach around 10 degrees centigrade in a day or two. The weather center has said that the sky will remain clear for the next four days. The weather will remain dry during this period. There is no forecast of rain. On Saturday, the maximum temperature of the capital was recorded at 23.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.2 degrees Celsius. A day ago the minimum temperature was around 15 degrees centigrade. As soon as the weather cleared, the temperature in the capital has dropped, due to which the cold has increased. In view of this, bonfires were lit at eight intersections of the city under the supervision of Additional Administrator Kunwar Singh Pahan. Bonfire arrangements have been made at Sujata Chowk, Argora Chowk, Doranda, RIMS, Albert Ekka Chowk, Railway Station and Kantatoli Bus Stand. There will be arrangements for lighting bonfires every day in winter.

The Municipal Corporation has appealed to the people of the city to inform the Municipal Corporation control room number 9431104429 about the people who are forced to live in the cold at the intersections. The corporation will make arrangements for bonfire at such places also. It may be noted that to maintain the smooth power supply during the rainy season, trees were pruned by Ranchi Municipal Corporation. The wood was brought to Bakri Bazar store and dried. These woods are being used to light bonfires during the cold season.
