When the sunlight falls on these drops of water, then due to its reflection a circular shape is formed. At the same time, the light falling on the water drops looks like a rainbow. Solar halo can be of three types – reflection, dispersion and refraction. In this, when light collides with water particles in the upper cloud, which is called high cloud, it starts working like a prism.
This type of incident happened in Ranchi almost after two years.
