WB News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s meeting today, police security divided into six zones, fear of traffic jam

In each zone, a Deputy Commissioner rank officer will be deployed for security responsibility. 1000 additional policemen will be deployed for the meeting to be held in Central Kolkata. Apart from Assistant Commissioner rank officers, Additional Police Commissioner and Joint Commissioner rank officers will also be deployed around the meeting venue. A team of Lalbazar Detective Department in white attire will be deployed on the buildings surrounding the meeting stage at Victoria House.

Supporters will reach the rally venue through these routes

Lalbazar sources say that BJP workers and supporters will take out rallies from Howrah Station, Sealdah Station, near Bank of India Crossing, Khidirpur and Shyambazar in North Kolkata and reach Dharmatala. Policemen from all local police stations will be deployed for the security of the rally. Rallies will start from various places from 10.30 am onwards. Rallies taken out from various places will reach Dharmatala by 11.30 am.

There is a possibility of traffic disruption on these roads

Lalbazar sources say that due to BJP workers and supporters taking out rallies from Howrah Station, Sealdah Station, near Bank of India Crossing, Khidirpur and Shyambazar in North Kolkata and leaving for Dharmatala, there was heavy traffic on these roads from 10 am to noon on Wednesday. There is a possibility of traffic disruption between 12.30 pm. On Wednesday, traffic may remain normal on AJC Bose Road, APC Road, BB Ganguly Street and Red Road.
