The arrested accused Shambhu Das and Purnima Das were taken on police remand and reconstruction of the case was done by going to the spot. How moneylender Shambhu Das and his wife Purnima Das had called Pavitra Biswas from home and murdered her. Police have also seized the bat used in the murder from the spot. Kankasa ACP Suman Kumar Jaiswal and other police officers were present on the spot.
Investigation into the case continues
ACP said that the matter is being investigated. A reconstruction of the sacred trust murder was done involving Shambhu Das and Purnima Das. The bat used in the murder has been seized from the spot. It is said that on March 20, Trinamool Congress worker Pavitra Biswas (26) was beaten and strangled to death in Gopalpur Uttar Pada village.

After the incident, local villagers got angry and vandalized the house of moneylender Shambhu Das and set his vehicle on fire.
