He had issued a notification saying that if anyone gives information to the police about these two suspects, a reward of Rs 20 lakh will be given to that person. A reward of Rs 10 lakh was placed on a suspect.

According to information received from sources, both the suspects had gone to West Bengal after the blast incident. They were hiding there. An NIA team finally found out their whereabouts and raided there. Musawir Hussain Shajib and Abdul Mathin Ahmed were arrested. On March 1, a man entered Rameshwaram Cafe and left a bag full of explosives. There was a timer set in it. An hour later there was an explosion. 10 people were injured. Police said that IED was used to carry out the blast. But since the level of explosive was not very high, the effect was not so intense. NIA took over the investigation of the incident on March 3. According to the central agency, Muzammil is one of the main accused in this incident. After 27 days, the main accused was arrested by the police.

NIA officials searched 12 areas in Karnataka, five areas in Tamil Nadu and one place in Uttar Pradesh to find him. After the arrest of Muzammil, NIA started searching for two other suspects. He claims that along with Muzammil, Shajib and Abdul were also actively involved in this incident. It was Shajib who had provided explosives to Muzammil. And this entire blast incident was carried out by Abdul. According to NIA sources, two accused have been arrested during the search operation on Friday morning. Apart from West Bengal Police, police of Telangana, Kerala and Karnataka were also involved in the operation. He was arrested about one and a half months after the incident.
