North 24 Parganas, Manoranjan Singh: Due to family disturbance in Arvind Palli of Ward No. 21 of Naihati Municipality of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, a mother killed her four-year-old innocent child. Suicide Did it. The incident has spread sensation in the area. According to police sources, the name of the deceased child is Soumik and that of the deceased mother is Vishwamitra Adhikari alias Priyanka. The incident happened late on Sunday night. The police have detained the accused husband Subhankar Adhikari alias Shubho. He is under interrogation. It is said that there was often discord between husband Subhankar and wife Priyanka. The husband used to come home drunk every day and used to torture his wife. Gradually the husband also stopped working. Then the wife was somehow managing the household, but the unrest had not subsided.

It is said that a few years ago, Shubhankar had a love marriage with Priyanka. Priyanka’s family alleges that Shubhankar used to harass her by drinking alcohol since marriage. There was constant dispute and unrest between them. Neighbors say that the dispute between the two was at its peak since Sunday morning. After some time the neighbors saw Shubhankar leaving the house. Priyanka was at home with her son Soumik. The neighbors thought that perhaps everything would be fine. But after not seeing Priyanka for a long time, the neighbors became suspicious.
Fed up with her husband’s atrocities, the wife took action
After this, when they peeped from the door of the house, they saw that four year old Soumik was hanged around his neck and nearby his mother Priyanka’s body was also hanging. Neighbors immediately informed the Naihati police station. Naihati police station went and recovered the bodies of the mother and child. The dead body has been sent for post-mortem. Police say that the matter is being investigated. Police are investigating whether it was murder or suicide? The accused husband Subhankar Adhikari has been arrested. In the preliminary investigation, the police estimate that the mother has committed suicide by killing her son. He first murdered his son by asphyxiating himself, hanged himself and then committed suicide.
